Volunteer

The club is run entirely by volunteers and we depend on people like you to keep the club going.

There are a wide range of roles within the club, so whether your interests lie in football-based roles like coaching, refereeing or taking on admin tasks there's sure to be something you can help with.

Have a look at the roles overview below. Click the Role Descriptions button to find out more about each role, send us an email if you ahve any questions and when you are ready fill in the Volunteer Form below.

Football roles

Coaching

Each CCYFC team has at least one FA Level 1 qualified coach - most have two. With the club expanding, more coaches are needed. Full FA provided training is available so if you'd like to get involved please get in touch!

Team managers

Co-ordinate Sunday (Saturday for girls) matches on behalf of the team coach. Liaise with the committee over socials and fundraising support.

Pitch maintenance

As we expand this is a growing area. If you can spare some time either during the week or at weekends to help maintain Queen Street, Flaunden and Paddock pitches it would be greatly appreciated. At the moment this is being completed by the coaches.

Referees

With teams now playing in competitive leagues the need for qualified referees is rising. Start by coming along and helping at friendly league matches to ensure the coach can be on the sideline coaching, then maybe try some girls, U12 to U15 competitive league matches. The club can put you through the official FA referee course and anyone over 16 can apply, so maybe an older sibling, cousin or friend might like to get involved?

Admin roles

Fundraising and social events organisation

We try to have at least three club social fundraising events per year and need someone to coordinate these please!

General Admin assistance

We could always do with a helping hand especially with

  • Database manager, including subscription management and player registrations

  • Website coordinator

  • Kit administration

  • Publicity, advertising and recruitment

Club Welfare Officer (CWO)

As the club expands the aim is to have at least one more trained person so that we have one CWO for the girls league, on for the boys friendly league and one for the boys competitive league. DBS clearance, safeguarding training and CWO training will be arranged and paid for by the club.

Other roles

  • Match day delegate (on match days)

  • Making teas and coffee at peak times (home matches)

  • Refereeing matches (home games)

  • Hoovering clubhouse after the matches

If you can help in anyway to lighten the load or strengthen our existing team we would love to hear from you!
